White
It's something I see a lot here
Such pretty white walls everywhere
White floors
White doors
White clothes
White people
Even when I actually get to roam,
almost everything is white
White

Before I arrived here,
my sister and I got to see
so many colors
Blue
Green
Yellow
Purple
But my favorite one of them all
was red
So lovely
Red fruit
Red clothing
Red paint
Red blood
Pretty pretty red
I sit here, playing nice
imagining the day
that I will once again
see that color
surrounding me
I hear the screams
from down the hall
And smile
Perhaps that day
is not so far off
after all

I was inspired by a conversation with ~Nickel2Sulfate about Poe's writings, so I decided to try this to get back into poetry writing a bit. :3
This is from the perspective of a young girl that currently lives in an (insane) asylum, though she may not entirely seem like she would belong in such a place.~
Her name is Learow, and she can be seen in the sketch dump I put up a little while ago. [link]
She and her sister are in number 4 (Learow is the bottom one with only one eye).
I'm thinking of making this into a mini-series of sorts, but I guess we'll see. XD
I'm not sure if I should mature this or not- let me know if I should. D:
